Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
On your arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be received by our friendly and professional guide who will introduce him/herself and then brief you about the trip for a few minutes. Hereafter, you will embark on your transfer to Lake Mburo national park and your guide will oversee your well-being and comfortably the whole duration of your trip.
En-route to the park you will have a sensational one-hour stopover at the equator where you can relish the feeling of standing at this grand world monument, participate in the different experiments and grab some terrific photos to act as souvenirs of the occasion. After this break, proceeds with your transfer to the park where you will arrive in the early afternoon.
Be welcomed with a glass of juice and lunch, then you can decide whether to have a community walk where you can interact with the local people or just relax until sunset as you recharge for the next day’s activities. Guests interested in encountering nocturnal species like lions or leopards can easily arrange a night game drive in the park. This drive gives you the absolute odds of encountering these highly elusive creatures, especially during daytime. Lucky guests can be blessed with witnessing a takedown by either lion or leopard of its prey at this time of the day.
Day 2: Game drive & Boat Cruise on Lake Mburo
On this anticipated beautiful morning, you can either enjoy breakfast and set out for an early game drive and then late breakfast or still enjoy bush breakfast upon sunrise which is one of the best experiences to have in Lake Mburo national park. Your safari drive will take you through a quest for the park’s habitats from giraffes, zebras, recently reintroduced antelopes, Buffaloes, lions, baboons and various bird species.
You may decide to have an optional game drive on horseback to have a closer view of animals and completely new experiences than when in a vehicle.
Have delicious lunch and afterwards, go cruising along the vast Lake Mburo. A boat cruise awards you with views of varied animals as they seek to quench their thirst while others take a dip in the water to shake off the heat. Keep an eye out for schools of hippos and crocodiles as they are familiar residents on the shores of this lake, not forgetting countless bird species Lake Mburo is known for.
Retreat to your lodge relaxes as you wait for a hearty dinner later in the evening.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala / Entebbe
Have a leisurely breakfast and check out of your lodge. Embark on a journey back to Kampala. Still admire the spectacular landscape of this park and as well lookout for different animals that can be observed easily in this park.
You will arrive back in Kampala in the early afternoon and eventually be dropped off at Entebbe for your departure flight or at your desired hotel in either Kampala or Entebbe. This will mark the end of your 3 Days Lake Mburo Wildlife Safari in Uganda.
