Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison falls national park and a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Our driver-guide will welcome you and then pack all your luggage into the vehicle, take a short briefing about the tour, expected weather and there after start the journey to the biggest national park in Uganda with about 76 mammal species, over 450 bird species and different forms of vegetation.
A road trip to the park is amazing as your eyes keep enjoying different landscapes, a stopover at the roadside local market to buy some fruits like passion fruits, jackfruits, oranges that are freshly grown, and another one at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to have a chance of trekking rhinos. Trekking rhinos lasts for about two hours, have late lunch and thereafter, proceed with a journey to the park accompanied with an evening game drive where you will be able to spot nocturnal animals like jackals, leopards, and hyenas, among others. Day 2: Game drive, boat cruise and optional drive to top of the falls
Have an early game drive in the plains of Murchison falls national park and this will give you a chance to spot different wild animals like the giraffes, warthogs, elephants, buffalos, leopards, olive baboons, bushbucks, waterbucks, lions, Oribis among others and birds like the ibis, hornbills, lover birds plus different vegetation types like whistling acacia. The game drive will take about 2 to 3 hours with a break at a hippo pool a point you will a joy your fruit breakfast.
In the afternoon, you will have to take a boat cruise on Nile River and explore more wildlife such as the hippos, crocodiles, warthogs, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and bird species among others. There is an option of driving to top of the falls or returning to the lodge after 2 hours of cruise on the Nile.
Day 3: Drive to top of the falls / morning game drive and depart to Kampala
Have breakfast and then drive to top of Murchison Falls or have a game drive to add upon what you spotted the previous day. After, head to Kampala/Entebbe where your 3 Days Murchison Falls Wildlife Safari will end.
