7 Days Bwindi Gorillas & Serengeti Wildlife Safari

Serengeti National Park is however the most popular safari destination in the country, because it is known for hosting the wildebeest migration in addition to other exceptional animals such as the big five, giraffes, antelopes and many others.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park on the other hand is one of the World’s renowned gorilla trekking destinations, situated within the south-western side of Uganda. It shelters almost half the entire World’s population of mountain gorillas, trekked in its four sectors/regions.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and drive from the Airport to a Hotel in Arusha
This day is dedicated to arrivals into Tanzania for the 7 days Bwindi Gorillas & Serengeti N/P Safari. This day will be spent at leisure with visitors given the opportunity to just relax at a hotel from the jet lag or tour the Town of Arusha (at own cost). Dinner and overnight will be sorted at the booked Hotel.
Day 2: Arusha City – Serengeti National Park
An early start has our visitors travelling northwest wards to the Serengeti area for the next two nights. The jaw-dropping sceneries along the way make this journey the best 7 hours of your life. Arrive at your safari destination in the afternoon with a game drive from the Park’s gate to the accommodation facility. A number of Kobs, impalas, warthogs, Defassa waterbucks, yellow baboons, elands, cheetahs, lions, leopards, Topis, bushbucks and duikers will be encountered along the way.
Day 3: Explore Serengeti National Park on a full-day game drive
Spend the entire day exploring the breathtaking ecosystems of Serengeti National Park in northern Tanzania. Vast plains dotted with acacia tree species, woodlands, open spaces and watering points are some of the phenomenal sceneries that you can expect in this 14,763-square kilometer Conservation Area. The entire day will be spent exploring this Park hence don’t forget your lunch box, whereby there will be breaks between the game drive to enjoy lunch.
Among animals to expect during the game drive, the lions, zebras, leopards, Kobs, impalas, Topis, Defassa waterbucks, lesser and greater kudus, gazelles, elands, yellow baboons, warthogs, wildebeests, Roan antelopes and many others are common. The highlight of your day is capturing the views of the wildebeest migration accompanied by zebras and gazelles towards Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. Retire for dinner and overnight at your Lodge or Camp in the evening.
Day 4: Drive back to Arusha Airport and catch a flight to Entebbe International Airport
Depart Serengeti National Park for Arusha International Airport, stopping en-route for lunch before proceeding through the beautiful countryside to the Town of Arusha. Catch a flight to Entebbe International Airport, with dinner and overnight in the Town of Entebbe.
Day 5: Drive to the incredible Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
This morning on your 7 days Bwindi Gorillas & Serengeti N/P Safari, drive westwards to the spectacular Serengeti National Park Two main stops will characterize this 8-9 hours’ journey through the countryside. The first stop en-route is at equator crossing along Masaka-Mbarara Highway to understand the significance of this landmark.
After 2 hours’ drive, refuel with a hot meal at Igongo Cultural Center then arrive Bwindi in the late afternoon. Your place of lodging for the next two nights is as perfect base for relaxation after trekking the endangered mountain gorillas in the jungle.
Day 6: Trekking the endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable forest
After breakfast at the Lodge, enter the forest (if the accommodation is in the outskirts of Bwindi) to the Park Headquarters for briefing on the protocols and rules to be followed when searching and observing the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
After the briefing, between half an hour and five hours will be spent looking for the allocated gorilla group then only one hour will be given to watch and photograph them. Lunch will be provided from the Lodge to allow you relax for the remainder of the day or better still indulge in the cultural experience of the Batwa.
Day 7: Drive back to Entebbe/Kampala via Mbarara
After a sumptuous breakfast and packing up, start your journey back to Entebbe or Kampala via Mbarara Town, where lunch will be enjoyed. Another stop is at Mpambire Drum makers to buy different items for last minute gifts or souvenirs that will remind you of the Bwindi Gorillas & Serengeti wildlife Safari.
